I like really comfy shoes. I cannot wear Converse, my feet hurt after a hour...Vans are good but I have not found any patterns I like lately. So what is the deal with Toms? Are they comfy?

i thought toms shoes were all made with leather insoles or something. but maybe i am out of the loop and that has changed?

I love my TOMS. Love love love love love. They were the only shoes I wore on my trip to Portland/Seattle. They tend to stretch out but you can throw them in the washer and then dry them for 15 minutes.
Also, they run super big, I usually wear an 8.5 but I bought a 7.5 and they fit perf.

I have a pair and love them! I usually wear 9 or 10 and I'm 9.5 in TOMS, so that's not helpful. I highly recommend you try on a pair in person. Super comfy!

I have a pair too and they're pretty comfortable. Maybe I'm just super rough with my shoes (I usually wear my Toms when I walk the dogs), but my pair wore out so quickly. I had them for maybe three months and the soles were already getting pretty beat up and torn.

I am personally not a fan of how they look, and thus wouldn't buy them, but I feel like every time I see someone wearing them they look both dirty and stretched out. Comfort aside, the shabby appearance makes me think they aren't worth the price.

They aren't the most aesthetically pleasing shoe, but I would rather buy TOMS since they donate a pair of shoes for every pair bought and use factories that ensure safe practices and fair wages.
Also, mine have no holes and I used them for tourism for a month.

I have the wrap boots in red. I like them but the wrap part doesn't always stay put. Also they hurt some but only because they are a little too narrow for me.

I feel like they're too expensive for what you actually get though. Like you're buying two pairs of shoes instead of them "donating" one.
If you're cool with that, then go for it.
edit: um . . . they have a wedding line? Who in their right mind would wear those to their wedding?

Are there any retail chains that carry Toms? I'm interested but I'd rather try them on somewhere.
ETA: Never mind, I found their "Find a Retailer" page.
